Just 218 days of the Haas era remaining

From Wednesday, 27 May 2020, we will be reopening the restaurant and the final spurt of head chef Hans Haas will continue before he leaves us on 31 December 2020 to enjoy his well-earned retirement. We hope you are looking forward to sating your ravenous appetite and raging thirst and savouring sumptuous moments with us at the restaurant just as much as the entire Tantris team is looking forward to welcoming you.
Since the restaurant closed in March, you haven’t heard too much from us due to the coronavirus. There is a very simple reason for this: before the official lockdown, we sent our employees home to their families in Austria, Italy, South Tyrol and Bavaria. All of our employees have been following the rules ever since so that they can now return in good health with a spring in their step to serve you.

HYGIENE CONCEPT FOR THE REOPENING

In order to ensure that your visit to Tantris is as pleasant – and of course as safe – as possible, we have devised a comprehensive hygiene concept and taken steps designed to protect both you and our employees in equal measure. All service and kitchen staff will wear a mask to cover their mouth and nose. The way the service operates has been reconceived. We must also request that you wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose when entering and leaving the restaurant. With your dining pleasure always in mind, the shortened opening time until 10 p.m. has compelled us to offer you a standard five-course menu in the evening. At lunchtime – from 12 noon to 4 p.m. – you can choose between a three-or five-course menu. The current rules issued by the Bavarian state government allow up to two households to be seated at one table. Please bear this in mind when making your reservation. Despite all the restrictions, we hope to be able to offer you our usual first-class dining experience at lunchtime or in the evening.

NEWS FROM THE SERVICE MANAGEMENT

Mona Röthig, who has been looking after you at Tantris for a number of years in her highly capable and cordial manner, is taking over the management of the restaurant and, together with head sommelier Nicolas Spanier, is looking forward to welcoming you.
Boris Häbel is leaving us and returning to the Lafleur restaurant in Frankfurt. We would like to thank Mr Häbel for his commitment and loyalty and wish him all the best for the future.
